Actress GEORGIANA JIANU Is Good at Being Bad in Faith-Based Film “BELIEVE: THE MISFIT PAWN"

Screening at KINGDOMWOOD Christian Film Festival October 6th, 2012 and Coming Soon to DirecTV on the Christian Network PARABLES.TV Los Angeles, CA – Actress GEORGIANA JIANU proves she’s good at being bad in the faith-based film BELIEVE: THE MISFIT PAWN, screening at Kingdomwood Christian Film Festival on October 6th and the Christian network Parables.TV on DirecTV later this fall. BELIEVE: THE MISFIT PAWN follows a middle-aged factory worker (Jon Pupillo) who takes a leap of faith and follows his dream of becoming a recording artist. Along the way, a scheming groupie (Georgiana Jianu) grabs a hold of this rising star, crushing his honor, trust, and everything he knows. Out of the rubble, he discovers that miracles really do come true…if you believe. From ViaCross Pictures and director Joel Bunkowske, BELIEVE: THE MISFIT PAWN has been gaining momentum, "We award this movie five Doves, our best rating. This movie is terrific...powerful and compelling, this movie hits a home run!" Edwin L. Carpenter, The Dove Foundation. Jianu is thrilled to be part of the project, commenting “It was really fun to play a villainess. Jezel is a down to earth girl who has this big dream: to be a rock star’s wife someday. So, she applies her mischievous plan, believing she has to do that in order to survive. She brings along her inner battles and she represents the shades of gray in the movie and in life.” This Romanian-born beauty has been building solid resume on the indie film scene since making her way to the States. Most notably, she appeared as a sweet girl who falls in love with the wrong guy and ultimately finds herself begging for her life in the dark tale “Blood Moon,” starring Academy Award winner Linda Hunt (“The Year of Living Dangerously”) and John Hensley (“Nip/Tuck”). Growing up in Bucharest and the nearby countryside allowed Jianu the opportunity to develop a well-rounded understanding and compassion for humanity which she infuses into every character.
